CAREER PROFILE

Dr. Mandal has made significant contribution in the field of applied analysis of human behavior, in general, and psychological science, in particular. His early research on cognitive and affective neuropsychology has added significant value in the understanding of focal brain-damaged and mental patients. This has been accomplished through the development of non-traditional assessment system which involved social and neuroscientific methodologies.  His later contribution to military psychology has produced significant change within the community of security forces. Noteworthy, among these include (a) getting the best cadet for the armed / elite forces through scientifically developed selection system, (b) analyzing security-critical behavior like mob hysteria / terrorism, (c) imparting mass counseling for man-made and natural disasters, (d) reducing the incidence of self-defeating behaviors in soldiers like suicide and fratricide, etc. Currently, Dr Mandal is engaged in ‘Science of happiness & well-being’ research.
